Pope Francis has declared 2025 to be a Jubilee Year with the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope.” During this Jubilee Year the faithful can obtain a plenary indulgence – the remission of all temporal punishment due to sin – either for themselves or for the souls in Purgatory. Cardinal Dolan has designated 8 Jubilee pilgrimage sites within our Archdiocese where the faithful can participate in programs and devotions that will allow them to obtain a plenary indulgence. The National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Stony Point, NY, is one such pilgrimage site. The shrine offers indoor and outdoor chapels, devotional gardens, a rosary walk, dining hall and meeting spaces and a gift shop. In addition, they are offering special Holy Year events.
