Liz’s Pantry, a new food pantry on the Upper East Side, offers one bag of groceries and shelf-stable food items per person per visit. Bags are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Following Jesus' command to feed others and faithful to the example of our patron St. Elizabeth of Hungary, the mission of Liz’s Pantry is to support and nourish others in need with dignity and respect, without regard of age, race, creed, or lifestyle.
Our next pantry is Saturday, May 10 from 10 - 11 AM. We hope to see you there!

Frequently Asked Questions:
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Liz's Pantry is for anyone who finds themselves food insecure; in need of groceries or help accessing sufficient food. All in need are welcome.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Liz's Pantry is out of the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Chapel at 406 E 80th Street between 1st and York Avenue.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE FOOD?
While registration is not required, it is highly encouraged and greatly appreciated. What we ask is minimal– your name, age, zip code, contact, and preferred language. This will allow us to let you know about upcoming pantries, as well as apply for grant funding and bring Liz’s Pantry to you more frequently!
I HAVE MORE THAN ONE PERSON IN MY HOUSEHOLD. CAN I TAKE MORE THAN ONE BAG?
Currently, we can only offer one bag per person per visit.
CAN I REGISTER ONLINE?
Yes! If you have a smartphone, you can register via our app, PLENTIFUL. Download it at the app store, or visit plentifulapp.com.
HOW OFTEN CAN I COME AND RECEIVE A BAG?
You are welcome to come each time we open the pantry.

WHAT'S IN THE BAG?
It will vary with each distribution, but the groceries will always be fresh, boxed, or canned. Typical items include fruit, milk, cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, and canned vegetables.
DO YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIFIC DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
At this point we are unable to accommodate client requests. We are working to apply for monetary funding to allow for more choice and/or dietary accommodations.
WHAT IF SOMEONE NEEDS FOOD WHO CAN'T BE THERE IN PERSON? DO YOU DELIVER?
Unfortunately, we are only able to offer groceries to those who are present. Our model is first come, first serve.
I'D LIKE TO VOLUNTEER. HOW CAN I SIGN UP? DO I HAVE TO BE PART OF THE PARISH?
We are always looking for additional volunteers. If you're interested/would like more information, please click here!
ARE YOU CURRENTLY ACCEPTING FOOD DONATIONS?
While we are grateful for your generosity, we are unable to accept direct food donations at this time. In order to ensure the health and safety of those we serve, all food must meet strict storage, handling, and sourcing regulations. By partnering with certified food suppliers and hunger relief organizations, we can guarantee that all items distributed are safe, properly labeled, and compliant with health standards.
Your financial contributions help us purchase exactly what is needed, when it’s needed, allowing us to serve our community more efficiently and safely. Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission.
ARE YOU CURRENTLY MONETARY ACCEPTING DONATIONS?
We are currently accepting financial donations, as we are privately funding the pantry until we become eligible to apply for funding. Please visit our Go Fund Me page to contribute, or contact Taryn Tonelli at ttonelli@stelmo79.org for more information.
