About the event
JInCanto is proud to present and reprise their highly successful debut concert as part of St. Monica’s Church Concert Series. It is a tribute to the Prima Donnas, who with their beautiful voices, compelling artistry and unique personalities, inspired and influenced four unique, diverse and talented artists on their artistic journeys.
Sopranos Maria Ciccaglione and Lisa Bryce and mezzo-sopranos Leslie Middlebrook and Anna Tonna team up with pianist Marijo Newman to pay homage to their opera idols by performing their favorite Opera arias, duets and trios, spanning Bel Canto, Verdi and Puccini as well as their favorite songs from the Musical Theater genre.
Our singers look forward to sharing their unique talents with this community as well as with other communities in the New York area in an effort to attract new audiences for Opera, classical song repertoire, zarzuela, and musical theater. Coming from diverse backgrounds, they are united in one goal: to present beautiful music of the highest caliber to the community at large.
